Today's action sees us going for three straight up picks with an option to parlay at the end!
🎾 Belinda Bencic to beat Svetlana Kuznetsova (-102)
The sportsbooks are struggling to split these two ladies, but we're happy to back in 11th seed Belinda Bencic to progress to the third round. The 23-year-old faces tough opposition from Svetlana Kuznetsova, however she’s already beaten the veteran three times in her short career. If she can amend her service game (12 double faults in the first round), she will be very hard to beat.
🎾 Sofia Kenin to beat Kaia Kanepi (-122)
Reigning Aus Open champion Sofia Kenin looks like good value to win her second round match over 35 year-old Estonian Kaia Kanepi. Kanepi has been excellent so far in Australia winning through to the final of the lead-up event at Melbourne Park last week, but she was soundly beaten in the final and didn’t face any one of Kenin’s class. We’re backing the American in this one.
🎾 Alexei Popyrin to beat Lloyd Harris (+114)
Popyrin caused the first major upset of the tournament in the men’s draw by knocking off 13th seed David Goffin in a five-set epic. This is a much easier assignment for the 21-year-old Aussie and we think he’s in with a massive chance to beat Lloyd Harris. Popyrin has progressed to the third round in the last two years and there is no reason he can’t repeat that effort again.
🎾 Day 4 Parlay
Bencic, Kenin and Popyrin all to win = +670
