NHL props on Wednesday, March 11
Cole Caufield looks to add to his second-best NHL mark of 37 goals this season.

Though the NHL betting slate features just two games on Wednesday, March 11, we've found a pair of NHL props to bet on using the Dimers Pro suite of NHL features.

By carefully comparing today's best player prop value with data-backed NHL trends and statistical insights, we can utilize our NHL predictions to find these NHL props that can be played as straight bets or in an NHL parlay.

With the addition of two new prop markets for Dimers Pro users, Points and Assists, we have more data at our disposal than ever before as we look to cash in, and we're putting it all to use in this one.

How to find these NHL props

Dimers' NHL tools feature three primary resources for identifying player prop value:

  • NHL Props - identify mispriced lines on the books based on our probabilities
  • NHL Trends -  which highlight hot and cold players
  • NHL Game Predictions -  which feature first & anytime goalscorer probabilities.

Each of these resources presents different datapoints to use in order to narrow down a multi-game slate full of players to a handful of targets worth a look.

Target these NHL players on Wednesday, March 11

By utilizing all of these Dimers Pro NHL tools, we've identified these players as ideal goalscorer or point targets tonight.

1. Cole Caufield (Canadiens)

Game: Canadiens vs. Senators

Time: 7:30PM ET

First things first, Cole Caufield is listed as day-to-day with an illness after sitting most of the third period in Tuesday's game vs. the Maple Leafs, limited to 10:27 of ice time.

He's traveled with the team to Ottawa and will be a top projected scorer in this game if he suits up.

Caufield has the most goals on the team and second most in the NHL with 37, with three goals and seven total points in three games vs. the Senators this year.

Ottawa has course-corrected from some early season defensive woes, but they still own the worst SV% in the NHL and will be starting Linus Ullmark in net on Wednesday, who's allowed six goals to Montreal and 4+ in two of his starts since the end of the Olympics.

A few datapoints point to Caufield's success tonight, notably his 38.8% probability to score with a 2.4% edge identified by our model, as well as a favorable points trend for his linemate Nick Suzuki with 2+ in 9 of his L16, and 5 assists vs. Ottawa this season. If he sits tonight, Suzuki becomes an attractive play as our second-highest probability for Montreal.

2. Aliaksei Protas (Capitals)

Game: Capitals vs. Flyers

Time: 7:30PM ET

In the other game of the night, we're looking at Capitals third-line skater Aliksei Protas to stay hot out of the Olympics break, picking up a point in four of his last five games since the league returned, with a pair of goals and six total points in that span.

Protas draws a top three goalscorer probability for the Capitals at 27.2% as well as a 52.0% probability to pick up a point for a strong correlation and an alternative play at higher probability and shorter odds.

While not high volume, he's consistently putting pucks on net with at least 2 SOG in 14 of his L19 games as seen in our NHL Trends.

The Flyers have a bottom five SV% this season and are one of just five teams that have failed to record a shutout, meaning goals are all but guaranteed.

They could come even easier tonight against Flyers goalie Samuel Ersson who's  3.40 GAA and .859 SV% rank outside the Top 50 goalies in the NHL, and having allowed 4+ goals in 4 of his L5 starts, dating back to before the break.
