If you enjoy sports betting in Ontario, you must play at Casumo. The popular sportsbook is making waves in Ontario, and I am here to share everything about it, including its features, in my Casumo review.
I must say I enjoyed compiling my review, and I liked what I found. In this review, you will get the latest details about the sports betting markets, how to deposit and withdraw at the sportsbook, the live streaming capabilities and wagering on the go. I was pleased to find that Casumo operates under iGaming Ontario and is a legal betting site in Canada. As a licensed and regulated Ontario sportsbook, it is legit and Ontario bettors should have no concerns about wagering at the brand. If you need help locating the licensing information for Casumo, you should scroll to the bottom of the homepage, and the relevant information about the license number, etc, is available.
When I review any sportsbook, I also check for additional security measures, such as encryption technology. Casumo utilises the latest SSL-bit encryption technology to protect bettors while using the site. I also found additional security measures, including password-secured betting accounts, KYC account verification, and an encrypted banking platform.
It was also encouraging to note that Casumo actively promotes responsible gambling, and various tools are available for bettors, including setting limits while playing and self-exclusion if you realise you have a gambling problem.
Despite arriving in Ontario in late 2022, Casumo is not a new betting site, as the sportsbook has been around globally since 2012. I knew that with over a decade of experience in the industry, Casumo would have a modern website. When I first visited the site, what initially caught my eye was the bold purple and white theme. I immediately fell in love with that colour scheme, which works well.
The sportsbook is inviting, and if you are a newbie, it is easy to navigate the site as there are various banners. You must click the Sports banner at the top of the homepage to access the sportsbook. Various pages include live betting, fixtures starting soon, and a special sportsbook feature with bet builders. I navigated the different pages, and there were no long loading times.
Ontario bettors in a rush and need to access certain features or betting markets quickly can use the search tool under the Explore banner. Most new betting sites include a search tool, and it was nice that an established sportsbook like Casumo also incorporated one. Overall, I liked the look and feel of the Casumo Ontario sportsbook, and the site is easy to use for new sports bettors and regular punters.
When I compiled my Casumo review, one of the features that caught my eye was the diverse betting options for Ontario bettors. Casumo understands that no two bettors are the same, and it has catered to all types of bettors. When you use the sportsbook, you can adjust the odds displays to how you prefer betting. The available odds displays are decimal, fractional and American. You can select the settings button on the sportsbook homepage and change the odds display.
The Casumo sportsbook has 25+ sports to wager on, and depending on which sport you are betting on, the minimum bet limit ranges from $0.01 to $0.10. The maximum win is capped at $100,000, regardless of whether you take multiple or single bets.
As I touched on earlier in my review, when you first visit the sportsbook, there are several banners to locate the different betting options. Under the home banner is a list of the betting leagues and markets. The Right Now banner has the in-play betting markets, and the Starting Soon banner has games that kick off within the next hour. You can also use the search tool to find specific betting markets and teams.
When placing pre-match bets, you can wager on most leagues, including the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League and the MLB. On average, every sports fixture has 300+ betting markets, covering moneylines, spreads, totals and futures betting. For example, if you want to wager on the Toronto Raptors vs the Boston Celtics NBA game, you will find 300+ markets. These include quarter betting, which team to win, the total number of points in the game and player props like which player to score the first basket and whether a player will go over/under their rebounds line.
The live streaming platform is one feature of the sports betting product that needs some work. There is limited live streaming of games, and instead of streaming major sports and leagues, there are live streams for lesser-known leagues like the Lithuanian soccer League. Hopefully, Casumo will provide more live streaming options in the future, especially for bigger leagues like La Liga and the NHL.
Live betting has grown in popularity among Ontario bettors, and most bettors prefer to get a feel for a game before betting. I was impressed with the live betting platform at Casumo, and there are plenty of betting options for in-running fixtures. For example, if Manchester United is locking horns with Arsenal, you can place live bets on 100+ markets, including moneylines, handicaps, and which team will score the next goal. A nice touch by Casumo is the addition of a live animation graphic for every live betting fixture. With this graphic, you get a visual guide on the status of the game, plus there is real-time data and stats.
If you asked me to rate the sportsbook and betting features, I would score my Casumo sportsbook rating a solid 8/10. There is lot to like, from the comprehensive live betting platform to bet builders and cash out. If I had to nitpick, I would prefer more live streaming, but at least Ontario bettors are getting some live streams, which is better than nothing.
